	produce a legible handwriting style;
	have a good understanding of mathematical concepts and how to apply them;
	become familiar with the basics of information communication technology;
	develop a flexible approach to problem solving;
	learn to work co-operatively in a group;
	develop enthusiasm for self motivated learning and learn to plan work and take responsibility for it;
	have some understanding of the world both scientifically and aesthetically;
	develop physical mobility and flexibility;
	appreciate and value the differences between people;
	derive pleasure from and enthusiasm for learning.

In short, we aim to equip the children with the skills that they will need to encourage a positive attitude to lifelong learning, so that they develop a good self image, the ability to appreciate the qualities and attainments of others, and to develop a lively, enquiring mind.
