WHAT WAS IT LIKE WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG?
Grandparents Visit 19th October 2007
The children have been following the theme All About
Me during the first half term. To culminate the theme we invited
grandparents and older relatives of the children to visit for the
afternoon and talk to the children about what it was like when they were
in school. It turned out to be a huge success with over 40 grandparents
participating. They brought photos and toys and loads of interesting
memorabilia to share with the children. After the grandparents visited
with the children, they enjoyed a tea and cakes in the main hall, kindly
donated by the parents and served by the Friends. A big thank you is
extended to the parents who baked the lovely cakes and biscuits. We also
wish to warmly thank all the grandparents who came to visit with the
children. You brought history alive in the classroom and we all enjoyed
it very much! |
